Auction Facts

The Highlands School was founded in 1986.  In this short time, The Highlands School has grown from six students meeting in a founder’s home to a fully accredited school of more than 400 students.  The school now enjoys a beautifully-wooded, 35-acre campus that includes four Classroom Buildings, Chapel, Library, full-service Cafeteria, Assembly Hall, Lower and Middle/High School Computer Labs, Chemistry and Physical Science Labs, Art Studio, Black Box Theatre, Music Facility, Gymnasium, Workout/Weight Room, Football/Soccer Fields, Outdoor Sport Court, Baseball/Softball Diamond, Courtyard, Picnic Areas, Main Playground, Pre-K Playground, and Pre-K Discovery Center, in addition to Administrative Offices.  The Highlands School has been honored for the past five years as being named one of the Top 50 Catholic High Schools in the United States.  Students in Grades 4th-12th represent our school in numerous state-level academic and athletic competitions.  These 25 years of miraculous growth have provided deep, strong roots upon which the future of our children and the future of The Highlands School can grow.

The Highlands School Auction Gala

The Highlands Auction Gala is an enchanting, fun-filled evening, complete with a gourmet dinner, Live Auction, Silent Auction, Big Board and Raffle Drawing for 2012 Ford F150.  The Highlands School Auction Gala Committee is composed entirely of volunteers, including parents, friends, faculty, students, alumnae, grandparents, and board members. 

All proceeds from the Auction Gala will be used to benefit our students in areas such as academic program development, computer upgrades, curriculum materials, fine arts programs, library books, teacher development, and scholarship assistance.

Auction Gala Items

Generous merchants and businesses, parents, friends, faculty, alumnae, board members, and benefactors of The Highlands School donate spectacular items for the Auction.   In recent years, The Highlands School Auction Gala has proudly presented many unique items at past auctions such as an original painting of the Blessed Virgin and Child, Vacation Packages to destinations around the world such as London, Rome and the Holy Land, landscaping and playground systems, and golf trips.

Benefits of Donating to and Advertising with The Auction Gala

Every donor receives recognition in the Donor Listing portion of the Auction Gala Program.  Names of donors will also be listed on the Auction Web site.   Additionally, advertisers are able to promote their businesses via the Program at a nominal cost and reach hundreds of prospective customers.  About 500 people attend the auction, and each attendee receives a program.  The Dallas-Fort Worth business community continues to be very generous to The Highlands School.  In return, we highly encourage our school community to patronize our donors.
