The Highlands Gala and Auction is an enchanting, fun-filled evening, complete with a gourmet dinner, Live Auction, Silent Auction, Big Board and a Raffle drawing for a $25,000 Gift Card! The auction is the largest fundraiser of school the year and staffed completely with volunteers. All proceeds from the Auction and Gala are used to benefit areas such as academic program development, computer upgrades, curriculum materials, fine arts programs, library books, teacher development, and scholarship assistance. Our goal is to raise $400,000 this year. Be a part of this amazing event and help us reach our goal!
Generous merchants and businesses, parents, friends, faculty, alumnae, board members, and benefactors of The Highlands School donate spectacular items for the Auction. In recent years the auction has proudly presented many enticing items such as an original painting of the Blessed Virgin and Child; vacation packages to destinations around the world such as London, Rome and the Holy Land; landscaping and playground systems; and golf trips. Other common auction donations include business services, memberships, event tickets, electronics, jewelry, and housewares.
Benefits of Donating to and Advertising with The Gala and Auction
Donors receive recognition in auction program. Additionally, most donors benefit by promoting their businesses via advertising in the program at a nominal cost and reach hundreds of prospective customers. Approximately 500 people attend the auction, and each attendee receives a program. We actively encourage our school community to patronize our generous Dallas/Ft. Worth business community donors.
The 20th Annual Auction and Gala will be Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Omni Mandalay Hotel in Las Colinas. Tickets are $150 per person. For reservations, table sponsorships, raffle tickets and additional information, please contact the auction office at (972) 554-1980 ext. 262, email@example.com or visit www.thehighlandsschool.org.
