Maintaining a safe and secure environment for your children is a top priority of The Highlands. We adhere to the safe environment policies and norms of the Diocese of Dallas and require all lay, religious, faculty, staff, and volunteers clear a background check and to complete safe environment training.  In addition to this, the Legionaries of Christ (the priests and brother seminarians of The Highlands) have their own Code of Conduct that goes beyond the policies of the diocese.  The Legionaries of Christ are also accredited by the independent safe environment firm, Praesidium, a national organization that works with religious and other institutions to establish and maintain rigorous standards for protecting children and vulnerable adults.
